power awning stopped working

Hi Y'all,

We have a 2019 Jayco Alante 29f and all of a sudden the power awning stopped working. We retracted it on Fri. and on Sat. it didn't open when we hit the switch like it wasn't getting any power. Looking for help here

I would start by checking the fuses with a ohm meter. If they are good I would check for power going into the switch and power coming out of the switch. If the switch is good move to the motor for power in.

next morning it worked fine, extended it and retracted it 3 times. Drove it to the campground for my daughter and grandkids to use and the same thing happens. Since its on the 12v side of the coach, I pulled all the fuses, but couldn't find a bad one. My next step is to check the switch with a multimeter. Thanks for your feed back.

When the awning is not working do any of the other 12v systems ( lights, radio ) work? If not I would check the ground at the battery and at the frame ( clean.tight). I’m afraid I have run out of idea’s. Maybe some of the other folks here have run into this before and will chime in. Good luck!
