Precept 31ul

I just upgraded to a Precept 31UL 202. I never towed with my class c but now want to. I am going to buy a rod master tow dolly. Can anyone tell me if this would be a good product for a tow dolly and can anyone recommend a trailer hitch ball mount for the Precept?

I think the key is the height of the tow dolly coupler from the level ground to the top of the coupler (ball height).... then buy the appropriate ball mount to give that height from the ground to the top of the ball while installed on your Precept. I have a Precept 34G and needed an 8" drop to have my tow dolly perfectly level and the height I needed for my tow dolly was 18".... link to what I needed: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Regarding the tow dolly, check my "upgrade" link: https://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f...34g-81805.html

I bought my tow dolly from etrailer.... very heavy duty, galvanized to prevent rust and arm folds to reduce size while parked. https://www.etrailer.com/Trailers/Demco/DM9713045.html

I'm very happy with how my 2018 31UL handles. If you're talking used, Jayco went to a longer wheelbase in 2018, I think that helped. I've also added the rear trac bar and front steering stabilizer.

Do some searches on Diesel vs Gas. Gas is fine unless you really plan to put tons of miles on the rig and/or need high tow capabilities.

The Diesel and Gas are in two different leagues and crazy cost difference. I'd think Diesel would hold its value better, but the cost is at least 2x more.

Here's a good link: (and there's many more.
