Angry Precept 31ul fuel pump issues

Fuel pump went out at 5100 miles in central washington. It was towed to ford dealer in sumner, washington where it was discovered that jack brackets were welded over tank straps making the replacement of fuel pump difficult. Jayco had a fix but ford folks had a small fella who got the pump replace when they could drop the tank 3".
The fuel pump failed again 180 miles down the road in portland, wa. As of this writing the precept is still at ford in portland.
The precept serial # is 185.

But that is a FORD issue JAYCO didn't build the chassis. Sounds like FORD has a batch of bad pumps, just like GM had a bunch of bad radiators that they put in the KODIAKS used for the SUPER "C"'s.

Design problem not being able to drop tank might be considered a Jayco issue? Lots of interface with Jacks and ignition on electrical conections might be an issue? Note on other threads that open area with electrical conections for jacks might be an issue? These type of issues at 65 mph in freeway traffic can make the issue life or lack of it - with either vendor....
