Precept 31UL Kitchen Plumbing Issue

DW was cleaning up some dishes and all of a sudden hollered about a major water leak.

After cleaning up the water and removing the small hall side drawers I was able to get to the sink drain.
The drain pipe had detached just above the trap.
The fittings on the trap were not tight.
The downspout or pipe up to the trap was barely long enough if some pressure was applied to lift the drainpipe up.

Temporary fix, we are several hundred miles from home, is an 18 volt Ryobi flashlight on it's side with two pair of flip flops on top of that wedged under the pipe to lift it up so I could reconnect it and tighten up the fittings.

This "shake down" trip of our 2020 Precept is getting serious and the list of things to be addressed is getting quite seriously long.

What else made your list? I'm wondering if its Jayco related or dealer/PDI related.

List ?
Overhead bunk stopped operating
Water in one ceiling LED, unknown from where yet
Radio virtually worthless except as a radio
Small leak in back of toilet when adding water to bowl
Cracked wood trim on one bathroom mirror/door
And, the sink drain

All Jayco design/quality control issues I would say.
11K on this rig so far, we'll see what the future holds.
Several hundred miles to get home.

I had a list I gave my dealer for warranty work, lot of what I've learned now was and is little stuff. There were two Jayco recalls so I said what the heck let the dealer deal with it. Well, almost 4 months later and still waiting for one lousy part to show up. The one thing is something you could probably get at a box store to repair the problem.

Oh well, live and learn. I will do the little things myself from this point forward. Good luck on the ride home.

Mine acted up last week. Locked in the stowed position. The motor was hot to the touch but wasn’t moving in either direction. I disconnected the power harness and let it cool down. When I went back to start testing the connections it was working again.

We had the same issue with the disconnecting, which I attributed to road vibration. However, I had enough pipe to just simply reattach and tighten. Now it is something I check periodically.

It’s a good idea to check all the p traps, especially under the shower from time to time.

One more item to add to the list is the oven.
It won't light. Sparks ok but no gas ?
Stove top works fine.
I have to check to see whether this was part of a recall.

It takes a while for the gas to get to the pilot light in the oven. I only had two recalls from Jayco on my 2021 31UL, doghouse installation problem, and bunk bed motor replacement. So far, only one from Ford, rear end recall, and one service bulletin for the baffle and sparkplug issue.

You have to manually light the oven holding the control knob in.

Recalls are listed here (https://www.nhtsa.gov/vehicle/2020/J...RECEPT#recalls). Nothing on the oven. They are notorious for taking time to light ().

Did you try tightening the clean water connection behind the toilet. No tools or disassembly required. Mine was a little lose. I hand tightened it which fixed my leak.
