Precept 31UL low hot water pressure
Hooked up at the campground for the weekend and noticed very low hot water pressure at all outlets including the outside one. The same low pressure whether on city water or fresh water tank with pump on. Moved all the valves on the wet bay panel back and forth just to eliminate a problem there.
When I turn the faucet to the cold position I get good pressure but it decreases considerably when I turn to the all hot position.
Got under the coach and see no water leaking anywhere....The line coming out of the hot water tank looks solid but it disappears into the floor above at the rear heading to the shower and the other way off the tee it disappears into the chassis heading to the bath and kitchen sinks. Since the low pressure is at all outlets I'm thinking there is not a kinked line anywhere unless it's the cold water inlet into the water heater but I can't see any problem (at least where I can see the line)
Anyone have a similar experience or any ideas where I should look next?
TIA

I'm gonna guess your WH bypass valves are not set correctly.

I think RV Geeks had something about this. By chance is your wet bay hot water on, but the shower head is closed off? They had something similar happen to them. Just a thought.

Good guess but not the case here, thanks for the suggestion.

So this led me to do more research on YouTube and I found a video by Liz Amazing:
Their symptoms are exactly what we were experiencing. Although we have no Anode in the water heater I followed their suggestion to drain and flush the hot water heater and after about an hour of drain, fill, drain, flush, fill, drain and flush again I put the drain plug back in and bled the air out to find we have pressure back for both hot and cold now.
I'm guessing it was some mineral buildup in the water heater at the outlet point causing the issue. Don't know what else to think but glad we're back to normal....at least the water situation is!

Interesting. How old is your hot water heater? Did you ever flush it out prior to winterizing (if you winterize at all)?

The unit was sold new in February 2020, it was never winterized as it spent the winter in Florida. The lesson here is that I should have flushed it when I bought it but since it was working fine it didn't occur to me to do so.

This is good to know. Being in the NE I natively flush my tank every October as part of my winterization. Otherwise, I would never have thought to flush mine out as early as you needed to.

So after a short while of decent pressure we are back to bey low hot water pressure. I don’t have the things I need to do a good flush with vinegar or a pressure washer so I’ll just have to try draining and flushing again! Ugh!!

It may very well be the check valve on the backside of the WH. It keeps the hot water flowing in one direction. Your flushing may have disturbed it enough to work for a bit. You can get brass ones at the big box stores, besides a dealer. We carry a spare now, as our TT is getting up there in age.

By chance have you opened the pressure relief valve? If you have good flow there, then your issue is the exit side of the water heater. If you have bad flow, it is your inlet side of the water heater.
Just be careful if the water is hot.
I am assuming you have a tanked system.
When I flush my tank. I do it a bit differently than most. I have the 3 valve style bypass, so I can back flow water into my tank. I open the outside drain valve, and empty the tank. Close the cold water inlet valve at the back of the water heater. I open the hot water and bypass valve. This allows the water to splash into the tank and stir up any crude, and it drains out the outside low point drain. I some times will open the cold water valve just to move any sediment that found a good hiding spot.

When you get to a new campground, after heating the water, try letting a little water out of the low point drains. It works for us every time.
