Precept toilet upgrade

I knew going in some things would have to be upgraded. DW thinks the toilet is one of the first. She liked the one in our old rig that flushed the entire bowl... Not just the bottom half. I would "half" to agree.

Any suggestions on a good quality, full bowl flushing make and model ?

I have replaced mine with a Dometic model 300 or 320. It's great except wife wanted a short one.

So now sitting down on it is a trick for me.

Thank you norty1 I'll check it out.
I probably won't mention the low profile model. I'm sure everyone will just be happy to have full flushing power.

On our 2018 Alante 26X, we had the dealer to install a Dometic 320 High Profile before we even did our walk through. We really like the full bowl flush and having the porcelain bowl makes clean up much easier. JH

Norty, your lucky yours is just in the TT, mine is at the house and it's not just the sitting down that low that's a problem but the getting up from that low position is a challenge.

Just make sure you have clearance front and back.

Another tip: Get the sprayer option. Its the best 20 bucks you will spend for clean up.

When we buy our new Class C it will have a "residential" height throne. If it doesn't come with one then it will have the upgrade before leaving the lot. The sprayer in my opinion is not a option........it's a must. The Dometic 320 is the choice of thrones. With a knee replacement, spinal stenosis, scoliosis, two herniated, one ruptured disc the higher throne is a mandatory item

We also installed the Dometic 320 immediately upon bringing our Redhawk home. It was the first thing on the list my wife wanted changed.

It's attached to the water supply that flushes. When the foot valve is pressed and the hose has a hand operated push valve. When both are operated you can use the sprayer for cleaning or wash "chunks" that sometimes don't go down. Also a big help when cleaning the bowl.

Does anyone know if the Dometic 320 would fit into my 2014 Flight 26BH? It has the original toilet in it. Can I replace it myself? I'm kinda handy.

I can't comment on the Precept but I had the same concerns on my fifth wheel.

I pulled up the specs on my existing Thetford and compared it with the specs on the Dometic. They were very close to the same footprint.

My main concern was a swinging door clearance. It was clear that it worked when compared. The rear clearance is pretty standard unless you have a cabinet behind that could cause some issues.

I also added a small cutoff valve in the input line for future use.

Shower sprayer

We have an Alante with the shower in the bathroom next to the toilet instead of across the hall. We use the shower hose to assist the flush, if needed, and I can vouch for how handy it is. I'm glad to learn about the toilets with the optional sprayer in case our next RV doesn't have the shower within range of the toilet.

We have a 31V Alante. Do you know if it was a direct replacement for the factory installed Thetford>
