Propane Quick Connect

Does the Propane quick connect run both ways, can I hook up an auxiliary propane tank to it and have it run the interior stove or hotwater?? Just wondering, I put the "extend a stay" on but was curious. I am running a Precept 34G if it matters.

Not wise in my thinking. You are feeding the system backwards and there is no pressure regular.

There is no backflow preventer on the quick connect. So technically,it works the same as an extend a stay. You do need to make sure you have the proper regulator on the portable tank.

There has been a few posts (not many) that have set it up this way. Most people just install an Extend A Stay.

NO... you can't. The quick disconnect is after the regulator.... so, if you connected an aux propane tank to it, the high pressure (i.e., unregulated) gas propane would then go to the stove, heater, hot water.... Not Good?

Install the Extend-A-Stay before the regulator.... see my link for details..... https://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f...34g-81805.html
