Protecting wiper blades -

I found this youtube video from a RV traveler I follow that
shows a way to protect your wiper blades..

hope you find it useful.

Good idea. I used to put a small Dixie cup under the arm to take the pressure off the blade.

If I forgot to remove it I may get a ticket for littering but otherwise no loss.

We were in Fla one winter and Cardinals were forever pecking on mirrors and hub caps.

I was told that is why bags were over the mh mirrors and boards leaning against the hub caps.

Yeah, I think it was when I was in Florida on one of my trips that I saw signs in a state or national park warning of the possible damage to auto rubber by birds. Back then people thought it was because wiper blades were manufactured with fish oil as an ingredient. Guess that was just an urban myth.
