Pulled the trigger on a 2018 Precept 36T

The dealer was truly amazing. Spent over four hours going through the PDI. Everything went smooth. I can not say enough how they treated us. Answered every question and were very easy to work through the two issues we found. Both the issues were fixed on the spot while we continued our walk through.

We drove her home which was a 2.5 hour drive. After reading the horror stories that others were posting about the handling characteristics of their new rigs, I was really worried about how it would drive. I was blown away with the way it handled on the freeway. I have zero complaints. Passed semi trailers with very little issues. She goes right down the road at 70mph. The j ride seems to live up to its name.

The only issue we have are the kitchen drawers. They slide open while going down the road. Not sure how to deal with that just yet.

I spent about an hour doing the winterizing and that was so nice and easy to do. Four gallons of antifreeze and I was good to go.

Generator is a little loud but I guess that is to be expected.

First day owner of a new Jayco and we are blown away with the quality of everything. We came out of a Wildwood by Forrest River, and the difference in quality of build is big!

Color us happy campers!

Thanks for all the advice!!

Did you at least camp in it b4 you winterized it? We love our 2015 31 UL but if I could up grade I would like the 36T we have not seen or in person yet.

We purchased a 2018 35S, Loved the way it handled compared to our 31U. Must be the longer wheelbase. Good luck with it!

Day two with the new RV and so far zero issues. Heat blows hot very powerful air. We cooked dinner in the kitchen last night everything worked without a hitch. Tomorrow morning we leave for a two day trip and then back home!

Love this rig!

I like the paint job as that is a very sharp looking rig. Enjoy it and enjoy life.

I have the same issue with the kitchen drawers. My son took elastic tie down straps and connected the drawers that were vertically aligned to each other. This has stopped them from opening. Glad you have had a lot of good luck with yours, ours has had numerous issues but we love it now that everything has been taken care of.

I fixed our issue with the kitchen drawers. If you pull the drawer out and look at the bottom of the cabinet you will see the latching mechanism. Then if you look at the bottom of the drawer you will see where the other half of the latch is (supposed to be). Apparently the dude that was working the drawer line the day my rig was built decided to take the day off. All of the drawers were missing the latch component. No wonder my drawers were not staying closed.

Took me about two hours to drill holes and mount the missing components on all the drawers.

You may want to check and see if the drawer dude took a day off when your rig was built.

Our 2018 36T also had the drawer issue on one of the drawers. I used a command strip designed to hang pictures. Has what feels like the hook side of Velcro on both tabs. They temporarily interlock with each other enough to hold the drawer.
