put stackable washer/dryer into combo prep?

Can you put stackable washer/dryer into combo prep if space allowed? e.g. Precept 34G. Do they have the same water and vent hookups?

Dryer in combo does not work well.

For comb washer/dryer, can the spin cycle make clothes almost (or nearly) dry?
If yes, its dryer maybe not needed.

Small portable washer spin cycle can make clothes almost dry. But in laundromat, spin cycle can not do this and clothes are still very wet after spin. Are those machines in laundromat supposed to be more powerful?

RV's use many un-tested technologies (consumer is the tester) until it is properly tested the basic knowledge and practice is always the best...........

Does the W/D prep already have a heat vent (cut out in side wall) for dryer? If not, do not like to cut a hole, use ventless instead.

As mkassab said, NO, and the reason being the venting location "height" can vary depending on the brand purchased.

Another reason may be that some people do not want W/D.

Is it better for dryer vent to go down floor instead of side wall? Cutting a hole in side wall may cause damage such as delamination.

Never use a ventless dryer in an RV. Too much humidity in a confined space. Vent out the side or thru the floor. stackable is the way to go. cheaper to replace just one unit instead of both.

No, not a good idea..... you don't vent hot air/vapor "down". If you did, once the humid air came out from the "down" vent, it would rise and condense on the bottom of the rig.

A typical washer/dryer unit for an RV does NOT vent. The way it works to dry is condensing the humid air and out the drain.... and, these units typically are 120v ONLY.... so no 240v "hot" drying like a house dryer.

sidewall ventilation does not cause delamination. No different than a microwave range hood vent.

D/W combo prep should have the same hookup as stackable prep:

hot/cold water/drain: both have them at the same location
dryer vent: a hole in side wall can be drilled according to dryer vent location.

If yes, its dryer maybe not needed. The spin cycle in a combo will not be almost dry. Hence you need the dryer function. You can remove the clothes after the wash cycle if you choose to air dry them.

Landromat equipment are commercial and are designed for heavy use. Functionally they are no different than residential washers and dryers.
