Cool Rear camera on our Precept UL 31 intermittent

Hi all! My first post! Our 2016 Precept UL 31 has developed an intermittent camera. Mostly it works fine....but at times we get a "No Video Signal" message. We showed it to the dealer. His tech brought the camera into the cockpit and direct connected it to the screen. Worked like a charm. He said the camera is obviously good, but it needs a new cable and that threading that cable was a complex and long (read expensive) job of snaking it through. Has anyone snaked a new cable? Has anyone used a wireless (Blue Tooth)camera replacement? Any shared knowledge will be most warmly appreciated. Jerry

Send a message via Skype™ to Foretm
Jerry, I don't have any first-hand experience with snaking a new camera cable front to back, but let me be the first to welcome you to the Jayco Forums. I'm sure someone will be along soon to help.

Camera goes out

I have had numerous problems with the camera going out on my 2015 precept. The dealer has replaced everything radio cable and camera. It went out again on a trip I just took and is back there again. They say the cable is hard to replace. The original was getting to hot mounted close to the exhaust. I bought a wireless on Amazon mounted it to the ladder and it works perfect. I talked to someone that has a 2017 precept and they have had the same problem. Good luck very frustrating that's why I will leave the wireless on.

Thank you! Did the wireless come with it's own screen or were you able to get the picture onto the coach's dash board monitor? What make wireless? Thank you for the information. I really appreciate your help.
