Remote Tire Pressure Sensors

Good Morning,

A friend of mine who also has a Class A advised me to get remote tire pressure sensors for my towed vehicle. I never had it when I had my Class C but with the Precept I dont think I will even see the car when it is being towed (as I could with the smaller C).

Anyone have recommendations for a brand or the necessity of this safety features.

Many have had excellent results using TST. Truck System Technologies, Inc

I have a system by this company. https://www.eezrvproducts.com/ . I've used it for over 2 years now. Only thing I had to do was change the sensors batteries.

I got this one at ebay.

Very happy with it and and inexpensive. Shop around for it and you can get it for less than US$130. Have it now for 1.5 years and had not to change any sensor batteries.

You can get also sensor for it if you pull something. However it is advised to use the external antenna for that. It can monitor temperature and pressure for 14 tires. With the Precept 35S I don't have any problems and I don't need the external antenna. You have to try it out.

Here is some good reading on the subject:

Doing a pre-trip check before departing is required for every commercial driver - tire pressure is probably the most effort - unless you use a TPMS. They are awesome while on the road, you can check the pressure and temperature of every tire from the drivers seat - or have the co-pilot in the right seat do it!
