Palms,

Thanks for the pictures, looks like a factory install. Are your feet on the floor when sitting in the seats? The slide base appears to elevate the seats.

I bet they sit great. Are they also wall huggers and fully recline?

Thank you! We agree. Yes our feet are on the floor whether the slide is in or out. They sit really well and have the included massage and heat, in addition to the power reclining and lights.
The compartment in the middle holds a lot of stuff. They fully recline and are wall huggers. You can see in the third photo the very little room behind the backs and the slide walls.
To install them you will need an angle adapter for your drill in order to anchor the seat bases to the slide. That was the most uncomfortable part, but totally doable.
A little part of the base overhangs the slide but is of no consequence. Our only regret is that we didn't do this sooner. What a difference! Also, everyone that has seen them and sat in them think they're the cat's meow!

Just showed your pics to DW. Excellent!

We should be back home by first week of April and will check out the offerings from CW.

Thank you again for your pictures and information.

We have the same and it is comfortable to sleep on. Just not as comfortable as recliners for lounging at night.

I've had several people sleep on my jack knife couch and no one liked it or said it slept good. The same people who slept in the overhead bunk said it was wonderful.

I can catnap on the couch but it's miserable for watching TV and I won't let visitors sleep on it, they get the bunk. Not tried the dinette bed and probably won't.

Good news folks, after having paid close to $1,700 for the two end sections and center section from Camping World, which we are more than happy and satisfied with, I received a CW flyer today that has our same set-up with a 50% discount to their Club Members for only $921! If you're thinking of the upgrade... just saying!

Argh! Called cw in Kissimmee FL and no answer from indoor RV furniture. Called cw Ocala Fl and reached a polite operator but furniture specialist was busy with a customer. Left a message.

On line does not indicate any sales on furniture but I’m sure that’s not an accurate gauge on cw deals.

The Orlando store is no longer cw but under their “umbrella “, whatever that means. They do not carry furniture at all. I’ll keep looking. Will be back in Cincinnati next week for 9 days so I’ll check there also.

@Palms,

Do you have a flyer number and sale dates I can reference?

Thanks,

Sitting in Ocala CE waiting on furniture specialist. Been here 45 minutes, no help. Sale item only domed in Expresso or grey.

No power on demo unit so can’t test drive. Poor way to run a business if you ask me.

Well Palms, after 90 minutes of no service I left the store. The furniture specialist knew I was there and ignored me so I’ll find my theater recliners somewhere else.

Seems to be a really good deal if you like the expresso or grey packages. Wish it had worked out. Also wish they had a demo connected to power for test drives.

Nick so sorry for so many probs. I had to use blind faith and it thankful worked. I didn’t keep the flyer and the price is great. Mine is vanilla upholstery that is very close to the tan. Just came back from another trip and DW and I used extensively.

Not your fault Palms, no apologies necessary buddy.

The only ones on sale are grey and expresso colors. DW believes the expresso would look good in our MH and seating was comfortable but no way to recline without power in the showroom.

I have no problems with the quality of the product, just the lack of sales effort from their furniture specialist.

We have a 2018 31UL and would very much like to replace the useless jackknife sofa with powered recliners and your installation looks great. What is the make/model of the recliner you purchased from CW and how much did you pay? Thanks for the pictures - the color looks like our interior!

Camping World had them for sale at less than $1,000 but I understand not in this color. We paid close to $1,700 and, while a lot more expensive, never regretted the purchase. They only have one powered recliner set that consists of right and left hand ends, a smaller middle section with enclosure and a no arm middle and you can make any combination you want. We took the two end sections and the smaller middle with the compartment. You will have to screw the bases into the floor to avoid them moving about. We're still able to use the original seat belts. Good luck!

Palms, I ordered a pair & they are coming, next week. I was wondering how you screwed them to the slide floor. What kind of hardware did you use? How many screws & where on the seat base, did you attach to the floor? Did you leave the the little, plastic/rubber feet on? I do have access to an angle drill.

Your seats look great & I can't wait to get mine & install them. We're camping next weekend, so we'll get to "test them out", right away. They will be wonderful, on our big summer trip (SoCal to U.P. Mi.).

You need to remove the REAR plastic feet, but the front ones you can leave on. Your recliner has to hang over the edge of the slide platform (at least it did on my Precept 31 UL) quite a bit. You need to pretest the recline position BEFORE you screw it onto the platform, then mark the overhang distance carefully before screwing on. Make sure you leave enough passage distance with the slide retracted so you can pass by. My passage distance shrank with the slide retracted, but is still OK and enough to get by. I pre-drilled the holes into the platform and used 1/4" lag screws with washers (6 for each side - I know, overkill!), but be CAREFUL where you drill and screw; there are slide mechanisms underneath. You will need screws for front AND back to avoid tipping the recliner. Pretest everything with backs attached, then remove the backs for installation and then re-attach. It is a pain to get to the screws as you have to lie on the floor. You will have to extend and retract the slide and recliners several times during the pre-fitting so make sure you have enough room for this purpose. Make sure you fasten the wiring with tie wraps, but leaving enough slack for reclining and retraction. They look and feel great once the pain of the installation is complete! Do not let CW do it for you - they may ruin the sofa and/or the slide mechanism.

Nebster, thanks for the reply & detail. I don't think 6 lags are overkill. I'm not too worried about passage room. The dinette is right behind the sofa, in a 35S & it's 45" deep. I know it's not going to be as easy as hanging Command hooks but it will be well worth the effort. I didn't get mine from CW, I paid a bit more, with etrailer, so I could get it in a less than a week, instead of a month or two. If there is any problems, with shipping damage, I can return & replace quickly.

Thanks again for the info.

Wink

I put two screws per base of each sofa and center section (12 in total). Maybe three inches long. They were wood screws that went right into the floor using the angle attachment to the drill. The sofa feels well anchored to the floor.
I left the plastic feet on but Nebster removed his rear ones. The fronts won't matter because the overhang (see pic below - it's upside down but don't know how to fix it).
Be sure to leave enough clearance in the backs so that they can recline (see pics for each back against the wall below - remember to include both shades in your space - ours almost touch the back of the seats - also with orientation problems but hope you can figure it out and that they help - my originals are ok). Even if they're wall huggers, they need a little room.
There is absolutely no problem at all in passing through with the slides closed with the small overhang, as it doesn't affect anything. By placing it flush with the dinette on the 35S it looks very professional and the color is an acceptable match.
There will be a space between the recliner and the slide wall behind the driver's seat. We just found a great wicker magazine rack that fit in just perfectly and everyone and I mean everyone that comes into the coach comments on it, and are super impressed when they sit in them. I took some pictures for your guidance. Good luck! Thanks for the complementing info Nebster !

Almost forgot... You have to provide power to the seats. I ran extension cord that is plugged into the outlet under the dinette seat closest to the sofa by wiggling the wire down between the dinette and the wall. Took longer than to install the seats! Anyway, you have to plug the seats in for the power recline, vibration, heat and lights. It looks very elegant this way because you don't see the wire. Maybe someone else has another solution but this one worked for us.
