Curious if anyone has used the RV SnapPads for the self leveling jacks on their Alante? Just want to know your thoughts and if they are worth the purchase.

Not on my Alante but I put on a set after I bought my 2022 Precept 36C.

We have them on our Alante. I like them as they protect the leveling jack pads and increase the contact surface area. Go to their website, lots of info and customer reviews.

That's a stretch. Put 'em on and your RV may be " indirectly" lightning proof, "no worries". Ha! Spend your money on a good surge supressor instead.

IMHO, I fail to see the need actually. @$324 a set for my 5th wheel, I'll pass...

I thinking the lightening strike thing is a stretch, but what got me thinking about the plastic pads was reading a tech talk about the sheer stresses put on the legs as the motor home shifts. Not sure however if the attached pads remedy that. I think the attached OEM metal pads/feet on an unattached flat plastic base pad may though.

Even though I have a set on my Pinnacle I'm kind of with ARoamer on this. When they first came out several years ago my first thought was why. I remembered my bass fishing analogy which is 90% of the lures sold are made to catch fishermen, not fish. Even though not a necessary or needed item, Snap Pad created a market for them. My reasoning when I bought them was they do expand the foot print and sometimes I don't want to mess with blocks, especially when parked on grass or dirt pads.

Love ours, never worry about the footprint. BTW, our salesperson told us to get them. He has them on this Eagle.

We have on our 31V. High priced but not dealing with blocks underneath and wet/muddy ground will return ROI someday. ; )

I won a set for my fifth wheel that I owned prior to the Precept 36C. I found absolutely no difference in stability inside of the fifth wheel before vs. after them. About the only thing that I felt like they may have helped was wallydocking where I would park in a retail parking lot at night- I liked the slightly extra larger area to help protect the blacktop when we would put our leveling jacks down.

I've also heard that there are some RV resorts that require something under the jacks on their concrete pads, but I haven't actually come across that requirement. They would help there.

For my money, I'm not buying them for the Precept.

I know you already ordered, but for others, make sure your pads are flat, flat, flat, and haven't been distorted a little. I bought some and two of them wouldn't "pop on".

I put them on my Redhawk and used them once during early July camping. Last I looked, they are still there and didn't fall off. I bought them to avoid putting wood under the jacks and/or in case we hit a campground that is picky about putting down metal landing gear. Regards

my directions encourage the use of soapy water but it was still a task to get them on. I wound up using a floor jack with a piece of wood

My opinion they are too much $ for the little gain. I use the cheapo blocks from Walmart. I carry a set just so my leveling jacks don't ever stroke out. They also increase the foot print and if they end up sinking in the ground they are cheap to replace. I can buy a lot of camco leveling blocks for the cost of 1 set of snap pads. Just My opinion. I see lots of people with them on and good for them some love em some say save your money.

Mine has grooves and a hole in the bottom to allow for drainage. I can see where moisture could be trapped when they are down but as soon as you raise them it should drain.

Mine have weep holes to prevent rusting. Putting them on is snap (no pun intended). Put them on the ground, put liquid dish soap around the edges for lubrication and put the levelers down increasing the weight until they "snap" on. All six took about 5 minutes.

I throw some Hosspads under my leveling jacks. Bigger footprint, good enough for me.
