The rear stabilizer that bolts from the differential to the frame made a bug difference and also running 100 psi in our tires made probably the biggest difference and that only took free air....

You can google the company Safe T Plus. They are in Atlanta area
Local RV places can install one BUT you would want to call the company to be sure
You get the right size for your model. Also some places may not be experienced with adjusting them. We went to Atlanta and they took us out on highway multiple times to wreak the fit just right

I emailed them yesterday and here's what they told me to do:
Dear Mr. Pomerleau:
Thank you for reaching out to us. We appreciate your interest in our Safe-T-Plus Steering Control.
We have found that some of the Precepts have a longer travel that what our 41-230 unit can accommodate; are you in a position to check the total travel of this coach? That will tell us if this Blue unit will work or if you will need the teal.
Here’s how to measure tie rod travel. Place a mark (i.e. marker, tape, chalk, etc.) on the center of the tie rod with the wheels centered. Take a second piece of tape and place at the same position on the axle or something other reference point other than the tie rod. Then make a full right hand turn. Place the tape on the tie rod where the second piece of tape or mark is located on the axle or reference point. Then, make a full left hand turn. Place the tape on the tie rod where the second piece of tape or mark is located on the axle or reference point. Now measure the outside tape or marks to the center. Should be close to 6 inches on both directions from the first center tape. Let us know what these measurements are when finished.
Let me know what you find out and I can go from there to determine which unit you will require.
Many Thanks,
So I measured and got just under 6" both ways.
here is the reply:Ok, great, then the 41-230 (Blue) Safe T Plus unit will work for you. If you have 16” or 19.5” tires you will use the F-119K2.5 hardware kit; if you have 22.5” tires you will use the F-53K2.5 kit.
For your reference, we are including a set of installation instructions for your motorhome. This should provide some insights as to how easy the bolt-on install process is for Safe-T-Plus. If you need a good visual, we have an installation and centering video on our website that will walk you through each step.
If you wish, you may purchase directly from the factory. In fairness, factory pricing will be higher than our dealers as we cannot compete with our dealer network.
If you’re traveling through Atlanta, you are welcome to visit factory to purchase your Safe T Plus and have it installed at no charge; or would be glad to see if we have an authorized Safe T Plus reseller or dealer in your area. If you wish to install yourself, we or our resellers would be happy to ship your Safe T Plus unit and kit to your location.
If you are installing yourself, below is a select list of authorized Safe T Plus online resellers. Or, if you prefer, send me your zip code and I will be able to let you know a dealer in your area.
1. Our Canadian Dealer - Les Vulcanisations - 450-681-7031
2. Camping World - 888-857-6631
3. Lazydays – www.lazydays.com
- Ask for Densel Stringer – (813) 246-4636 ext.4636
- Ask for Jim Varnado – (813) 246-4999 ext. 4207
If you have any questions prior to purchasing Safe-T-Plus, please call us direct at (800) 872-7233. Or, should you need help installing our product, feel free to contact our technical support.
Again, thank you for your request and your interest in Safe-T-Plus Steering Controls.
Best Regards,
Kathy
Having the 2017 Precept model I'm surprised to hear I need the blue one and not the teal.

Head scratcher
I agree, with the 2017 chassis I would have thought the 51-230 would be the correct one. My chassis is a 2016.5 which had the longer travel tie rod.
Maybe Ford is mixing up the front ends? Call STP and ask for the shop manager, get his opinion. Kathy is good and knows her stuff but she's front office. I can't remember the shop manager's name but he seemed to be very familiar with the F53 steering geometery and Ford changes.

I'm fairly new to this forum and I have noticed a lot of Precept owners talking about safety during handling of this RV. Has anyone or a group of owners submitted a complaint to NHTSA regarding this so it would be investigated and put the responsibility back on Ford to correct the issue?
The only complaint we have on the NHTSA site is the headlights issue.

The chassis that Jayco buys from Ford is NHTSA compliant. Jayco then modifies the chassis and then puts a small apartment on top of it. There is nothing wrong with the chassis UNTIL Jayco gets a hold of it. Jayco will pay for an alignment and to get the steering wheel strait. The rest of the handling characteristics are inherent with most F53 chassied motorhomes not just the Jayco. If you spend at least 20K more you can get a Tiffen which from their factory offers the same suspension upgrades that Jayco owners are doing.
