There's probably no consistency on the factory using a caulk or sealant at the top of the shower wall. Generally speaking, it is assumed there isn't much water up there, hopefully the shower head fitting is not above the wall, but if it is, there's likely still little concern for sealing the wall. On our 2007 Eagle with the tub/shower, it was not sealed. Our current HT is not either.
If you have much of a gap or feel water or condensation is getting in there, you can caulk it rather easily.
In some cases, caulking that joint can become a bit of a maintenance issue if the plastic wall expands and contracts with temperature fluctuation, which could cause the caulk to separate along that seam.
For what it's worth, the entire wall behind that shower wall has the same "wallpaper" that is on the visible surfaces of the walls. Though I wouldn't want a lot water to get i there, some small moisture isn't likely to be of great concern.
