Slide supports - good or bad

Just wanted to ask someadvice on using slide supports. I have a north point 377rlbh as well.

Generally the concept seems sound as long as you don't jack them up to forcefully, but on the other hand some research says that if a tire pops it is going to really mess things up.

Plus if damage is caused by them that voids the warranty.

So just asking advice.

Thanks

Oh and I guess I should question when on a concrete pad vs dirt. Dirt seems more likely to settle, but concrete would be more stable. Wonder if the struts would gold the weight in the event of a tire popping.

They are not recommended by JAYCO or any manufacturer that I know of. Went 30+ years with slides and never needed one.

Maybe a case of a solution looking for a problem?

As noted, I have never used them and they are not recommended.

Actually they can cause slide problems.

Slide Support

Not Using them, don't plan on it. Scissor jacks keep the TT stable yet there is always slight flex movement side to side. I wouldn't want my stationery slide working against the slight movements of the rest of the rig. Would just make things wiggle apart sooner. Dang! Never thought of loosing tire pressure overnight and having the slide pry itself from the trailer. Now that would really ruin the trip! I do take into account the slide weight and sag it creates while leveling the trailer on set up. I like to be slightly high on the bubble toward the slide side with jacks just touching the pad. This way it levels nicely when deployed.

Thanks all for the input. This is generally what I'm finding online with various other sites. I've only found one person that goes with them so far.

Appreciate the feedback.
