Smoky furnace... help.

Hi all,

We're getting a good bit of smoke / soot on the outside of the furnace, It's blackening up the side of the coach above the outside furnace vent.

Anyone know how to get that to stop?

Thanks!!

I'm no expert, but it sounds like the wrong mix of propane and air.
I'd get it serviced by a shop who specialise in such things.

Are you sure its the furnace vent and not the hot water heater? If it happens to be the hot water heater, you probably have a spiders nest or debris in the vent tube. Remove (3 small screws), blow out then re-install.

Thanks... It is the furnace for sure. Probably is the fuel air mixture...

Or a mud dauber nest in the air intake.

That would be my guess. Do you have a cover screen over the intake and exhaust ports?
