Sound proofing cab with overhead bunk

Tip; We have overhead bunk and sound was just bouncing off of the bottom ceiling while driving. Has that veneer wood thin paneling. Road, wind, engine and AC noise echoing. Doghouse and floor already dampened.

So, we bought 2 packs of this;

Uoisaiko Sound Proof Foam Panels 2" x 12" x 12", 12 Pack Self Adhesive Acoustic Foam Panels, Higher Density Acoustic Panels for Studio Recording Sound Absorbing, Grey

https://a.co/d/93a2c9v

Really helps. Radio does not sound as tinny either.

This works very well. Thanks for sharing. We can now have a conversation on the road without talking loud.

Send a message via Skype™ to Foretm
Do either of you have a picture of the finished installation you can share?

Very nice, wish they had a beige color.

Don't forget the portion above bunk bed too.

I had to use this: 3M Hi-Strength Spray Adhesive 90, 14.6 oz.

Link Here

The adhesive on the back did not hold up in South Florida.

hey MarcF is there a significant difference on the cabin as far as having a normal conversation? I do have a 2022 Alante 27A and I haven't check the doghouse for the insulation if any... but if that will help.. that is an easy fix.

I do have the issue with the driver window.. getting wind noise but warranty is taking care of that and they will be replacing the entire window

Interesting, do you have any pics of your installation, this is something that I would be interested in?

I started installing the acoustic panels today.

I need to order another pack of panels to complete the installation on my Alante 29S. I ordered another can of spray, perhaps I am using too much on the panels.

The panels are going up easily and neatly. I to am using the 3M spray adhesive as we live in Mississippi.

I finished the installation, it wasn't hard at all.
I did have to order three sets of panels, but only used 4 from the third set. Lots left over, gotta find another place to install them!
And I see I left a little gap in one row!!

How let's see if the Mississippi Summer heat will leave them in place.

We haven't yet used the Motorhome to see if it helps. I hope it does.
