Switching from a fiver to a Class A Diesel Pusher

My wife and I are planning on switching from our current Jayco 40' fiver, to a SOB 40 ish Class A Diesel Pusher. Any thoughts about the change in driving, parking, or anything else you may find helpful. I am a retired firefighter/ Driver Engineer/ Paramedic so I have experience driving large, heavy vehicles, I just don't know how a class a drives compared to what I'm familiar with.

They drive like a bus. Not meant to be a negative comment at all. Not difficult to get use to driving or parking one. You should not have any issues adjusting. I had a 2005 Newmar Mountainaire 40'. Drove it a couple of years. My first RV ever. My first driving experience was when the salesman walked me to the RV, they had already hooked up my toad, and said "You're good to go". Yep, straight out on I35 in Denton, TX headed straight through all the construction in Dallas. An adventure but we survived. We all do. Have some fun
