To those with Toad & Bikes...Where do you carry them??

So I have a choice....either carry two singletrack bikes on the rack behind the 31UL and double-stacked above the Falcon tow bar?....or on the same rack except mounted behind the Grand Cherokee?

On one hand having them already on the Jeep makes them handier to use, and lessens the weight on the rear coach wheels (I think anyway, since the weight would be on the Jeep instead - same tow weight but less downward force weight on the rear of the coach).

But this makes for an awful long "train" to tow and the bikes somewhat block the taillights a bit too.

Or I can use a double-stack hitch and carry them between the coach and the Jeep?

I'd be curious to hear what others have done?, which they might prefer?, and any comments or suggestions?

I carry a 300 lb motorcycle on my Grand Cherokee hitch. Works fine and the length doesn't matter.

We tow a CRV. I installed a hitch on the car and use a Yakima bike rack to carry the bikes. No issues.

My next door neighbor tows his car and has the bikes on the car hitch rack. He likes it as he can then drive to bike trails or unload and ride whenever they stop.

I carry mine on the toad. Works fine and I always have the bikes with me if I’m driving the toad around.
