TV Speakers

I want to install a sound bar to my dining room TV but there are already cables connected to the external speaker jacks. Does anyone know where they connect to and can I just unhook them?

If you don't want to use existing speakers just remove the wires from the TV and replace with the sound bar wires.

Does your tv have digital optical output? Most newer sets do. Also most of the recent soundbars can be connected via doptical cableing. Or as already suggested, you likely won't be connecting your TT speakers to the tv so unplug and use them with the old fashion RCA plugs.

You can also see if there is an Aux port (3.5mm audio) on the tv and sound bar. Both of mine did so that is what i used to connect.
