under vehicle spare tire carrier?

We are new Alante 26x owners. I tried searching for this but did not find anything (probably is but I did not find it).
our Alante does not have a spare tire, or carrier for one. It seems like a good idea to have one available "just in case". Has anyone added a spare tire carrier under the vehicle some place? It seems, due to weight, that forward would be better than toward the back of the vehicle.

Not heard of this on a newer precept or Alante. I did talk to a guy that had motorhome for many years. He carried the tire (19.5) under his motorhome with no rim. In case he was in bum Egypt and no tire available. I guess if you had a toad you could throw in trunk.

Class A motorhomes don't have spare tires because of the expense, weight, and the equipment needed to change a tire. You would need a hydraulic jack and a torque wrench since most class A motorhomes require about 400 ft lb of torque for the lug nuts. It would be a lot cheaper to add a roadside assistance plan to your insurance policy than spend the money for a new tire and the equipment required to change a tire. It would also be a lot safer to have an experienced tire service change or repair the tire. Have you ever seen a trucker changing a tire?

I've considered this route... the 19.5" tire is not very easy to come by on the road from what i've read of others. I thought about getting one and putting it in my front-most passthrough. Finding someone to change the tire is not nearly as hard as finding the tire.
