Vacuum leaks -Jayco poor quality

Just figured out why my dash air goes up the defrost. The vacuum servos or motors (they are called both) have lost their seals. On my 2015 Precept 31UL those two servos are the "white" vac line and the "red" vac line. The "red" line is inside the ducting box and I had to remove the dash to get to it. PROBLEM trying to find a supplier. JAYCO has no idea!!! Amazing of the 3 vacuum motors on the HVAC, 2 failed on a 2015 model. Cheap made in Taiwan parts. I think my system is a Victory so may have found parts at Winebago! May just use a small rod and manually switch between defrost and A/C. It will be good to get A/C out of the dash vents again.

What Jayco poor quality? Jayco doesn't built the chassis.............

Unfortunately I believe that is a Ford chassis, and the engine heating system comes from Ford. I'm not sure if Jayco has a dashboard made for it, or if it comes with one. No matter what, Ford would have supplied the vacuum actuators. I would suspect they might still be under the Ford 3 yr/36K mile warranty.

First, the HVAC is Victory (I think) but definitely NOT Ford (I called Ford, it is not theirs). Jayco opted to use Victory instead of Ford who would have parts listed and use Motorcraft part numbers. Jayco can not find my part because they are not sure who they had made the HVAC! Jayco quality .... when you use the cheapest supplier you get what you pay for. Do I blame Jayco? If you remember someone who once said "The buck tops here". He was willing to accept errors maybe not entirely his own but he was at the helm.

When you contract parts to be made, your specifications should include quality and then when the product is received, you should have quality control to ensure you received what you had paid for. Is Jayco responsible? Whose quality control or poor specifications were used?

Based on your first post, Victory is probably common to the MH industry since WINNEBAGO uses the same supplier. In all probability FORD doesn't provide a ducting system for their Class "A" chassis so what choice does JAYCO have?

I am having the same issue on my 2015 Precept. I have replaced two of the servos and it still isn't right. I would be interested in how you would use the small rod to move between defrost and dash vents.

My in dash fan was and is making noise. Took it to Ford. Not our p/n it's jayco. When I picked up precept the regional manager for jayco mentioned he speced part of the air conditioner as a change between 2015 and 2016.

Ford doesn't supply the ductwork or mechanicals.

I know that in some vehicles when the air only comes out of the defrost that is a sign of vacuum loss. I had two GM vans do this within months of each other - the issue on both were vacuum lines that had holes burnt into them from improper routing (touching the exhaust manifold).

Make sure you have the proper amount of vacuum in the lines as your first trouble shooting step.

True. The system is designed to default to the windshield if there's loss of vacuum. It's for safety reasons/visability
