What manufacturer for kitchen faucet?

Does anyone know who makes the kitchen faucet in a 2017 Precept? There is no makings on the faucet and we didn't receive a manual for it. It is a single handle with pull out sprayer. It has a small leak and wanted to see if I could fix myself other than drive 3 hours to dealer. Thanks for any help.

Don't have an answer as to brand, but honestly the best thing you can do is replace it with a better one from lowes, HD or any other place that sells them. No different than one in your home, and definitely no need to take it to a dealer.

One of the first things we do with any rig is replace sink faucets.

Phoenix makes many of them. I tried to get parts for one and gave up and bought a Delta from Lowes.

I had a 2011 Eagle (traded it in) the faucet starting leaking. I just went to home depot and replaced it with a low flow faucet for a std. home and it worked great was on sale for like $75 bucks and it was a name brand that if it leaks in the future can buy replacement cartridges for it.

Have to agree with the advice above. In both my 2012 Pinnacle and now in my 2018 Pinnacle I replaced the original kitchen faucets with Delta Brand from Home Depot. No more leaks, or low flow problems.

Ditch the plastic junk and get a real faucet from a box store.

Thanks for the input all. I was able to get the cartridge out and there was a small amount of debris near the seats. I cleaned it out and reassembled it and so far no leaking! I'll keep you posted. Thanks again.

Know that the box stores sell mostly "plastic" faucets...ie cartridges. If you purchase from a plumbing supply house you can still get the brass cartridges or in Price Phister their ceramic cartridge. They all make plastic faucets for the box stores...just because it says delta or some other name brand doesn't mean it's the top of the line faucet....or many other items also.

100% agree. Don't be fooled into a sense of security by a name brand. While they are all probably better than the plastic junk installed at the factory, it still pays to be an educated consumer.

Interesting - Our box stores carry a number of metal faucets with brass and ceramic cartridges.

No on is saying that the home centers don't have them. What we are saying is that you have to look past the name on the box before assuming these features are included on any given brand or model. FWIW - ceramic disc alone isn't necessarily the sign of quality it used to be. A lot of low end faucets use them now as well and splash it all over their marketing material like the catch-phrase it has become. Yes, you are much less likely to find any of the low-end junk in a plumbing supply or kitchen & bath house. Granted, you'll probably pay more there, too.

While in the plumbing dept, get a small tube of Silicon Grease. Apply to the cartridge after cleaning and it will help with drips etc.

DANCO 0.5 oz. Silicone Faucet Grease-88693 - The Home Depot

You can spend all the $$$ you want on a faucet set but the high end ones at a big box store are all you need unless you are keeping the rv for a lifetime and are way better than the OE stuff.

Are the fittings and threads in the RV the same as a residential application? Like will the Home Depot / Lowes faucet drop right in and mate with the trailer's plumbing fittings?

Yes, identical.

Just hard to get to.
