Xantrex sine wave 2000

When inverter is in use while plugged into50 amp, the panel shows green light on battery. Is that normal?

No. It should show AC (top light) when connected to shore line or generator.

You don't need your inverter if you are shore power. Do you know what an inverter does?

To be fair he didnt say which model he has. It could be one of the 2000w inverter/chargers. In that case, if I understand how it works, he could need it on when on shore power to charge his battery bank.

I think it probably is wired wrong. I have the same issue that the AC outlets do not work when inverter is turned off. AC power should not be going into the Inverter at all, should only come out when on battery and the unit is converting DC to AC.

I also found that when I throw the main breaker the AC outlets stay hot. It does cut the connection between the outlet and the breaker, but does not cut power to the outlet. I talked to the Factory and they said it shouldn't be doing that (duhh).

You may also notice that the GFI breaker doesn't work (try testing it).

Jayco sent me schematics and wiring diagrams. If I can figure out what's going on I'll post it here.
