Finished up the rear jacks and the center jacks as well! I did decide to mount the centers with the 2x2 square tube. Main reason is less extension needed, and less blocking.
Pretty happy with the results so far! Just need to take a trip for the real test....
Here is a few pics showing the bracket for the clothes rack on the rear bumper.
The 1" square aluminum tube slides over the "peg". Works great!

Installed a led clearance light at each step, up underneath on the crossbar facing the ground. I ran wire from the rear light all the way up to the battery, connecting the front light inline. I installed a waterproof switch just above the Blue Sea on/off switch in the battery box. Forgot to take a pic of the switch, will try to remember next time I'm over where we store our 32.
I didn't remove the factory step light on the front steps yet. You can see the new led light just above it.
Night pic.
Turned out like I hoped, (looks better in person) the night pic isn't the best. Was concerned about the lights being to bright, but that's not the case. Just wish Jayco had a seperate switch for the step light. Not sure why it is wired in with the awning lights, that are ridiculously bright.

Loving it. Not to sidetrack, but in the stabilizer pictures, looks like your suspension spring hangers are welded to 2x2 tubing. Mine aren't so just curious if it came like that?

TY!!!
Yes, they are from the factory. Part of me wonders if it's for ride height or to help strengthen the frame. Our last tt ('01) frame actually fracked just in front of the front spring hangers and just behind the rear ones. There is even some reinforcement on the top side of the bottom of the frame (if that makes sense??? Lol). I will try to grab a pic next time we are over at the 32....

Most all now have the additional flat bar bracing at the hangers (above bottom flange) since there was so much flex there. I believe that's the reinforcement you refer to. Just hadn't seen the tubing. That tubing would've made adding cross bracing on mine a little easier. I was just camping next to two late model 32's and never really looked at the suspensions.

Yes, bottom flange.... The words were escaping me this morning due to coming back to reality after a w/e camping trip at the family "ruin"! Lol
Th next project is possibly a dimmer system for the awning lights, and maybe reiforcing the front queen bed a little.... And figuring out a better flag pole set up!

Not sure this is a true "32 mod", but if any of you have ever tried using the "Big Bobber Cooler", you know it takes water on pretty easy, melting any of the ice you have pretty quickly.
Here is the solution:
Tube is for a 23x8.5/9.5x12 tractor tire.
Worked awesome going down the Cedar River in Gladwin this past Sat.

Here is the Jayco factory rear cargo hitch part number for those wanting to add it to their rig.
I would suggest having the dealer verify its the correct part before ordering!!!
Haven't finished any new mods since the last post. Unless buying a new house that has room to keep our 32 here in the driveway going back to the "barn" (16x30 separate garage)!!! If so it was one expensive mod!!! 😂
Just have some landscaping to do to get it back there. Hopefully just trimming a tree and not removing it, removing: a bush, a couple fir trees, and then will go from there depending on room around the tt.
And then installing a 30a outlet to be able to run the a/c full bore if needed.

Glad to see you're still alive on the mods. My thread is kind of at a stand still, BUT, parts are fixing to be ordered. Will be glad to finally post something. Thank you credit card rewards / Amazon gift cards.

John,
Missed your reply, sorry!
The mods are still on the "grocery list", just very slow in getting any mods done at the moment. We are now 6 weeks into living in our new house. It has been a testing adventure trying to get everything organized, especially the barn, but we are just about there. I do have a shed I want to do a tear down/ rebuild due to the floor being shot. And could use a bigger shed to get all the lawn/ winter equipment in it. Probably will do the required landscaping to get the 32 into the driveway first though. That's more destruction than anything! Then hopefully complete the shed project by Fall.
Defintiely following your sink mod! As I mentioned we will have a stainless sink that may just work in the tt.
Still on the mod list: stair shoe rack, digital thermostat, possibly some led lights along the frame door side, and maybe an axle swap to under the springs.

Anxious to see what you can improve on with the shoe rack mod. I know we had discussed it a while back. You had some great ideas. I still use ours, but think about stealing some of your ideas and building a new one. Curious about your theory on the axle swap under the springs.
Depending on what happens in the next month or so, the 28 mods may come to a close (After the sink) and modifying something else may open. We'll see what happens.

Probably won't change much on the shoe rack. Only thought is making it extend past the sides (or just one side) of the stairs enough to get a pair of shoes "outside the stair frame", plus what will fit "inside the frame".
As for the axle swap, there just isn't much room between the top of the tires and the wheelwell. That's why I have considered it. Probably still stay with the stock size 225/75/15 tires though.
As much as I regretted removing the tree at the corner of the garage, being able to keep our 32 at the house was one of the things we looked for when we were shopping for our new house. A farm jack, chain around the base of the trunk, and a sawzall took care of removal. Then the ol reliable chain saw sliced and diced it up.
Not the best before pic.
All that's left of the stump.
May need to trim one other tree, and will eventually remove a fir tree that's behind the fence. Once we bring the rig home we will know what exactly may need trimming.

Remote Pump switch
Hi Need...
If I recall correctly, you were considering installing a remote switch to power on the water pump from the bathroom.
I too am going down that road, and have just placed the order for the necessary DPDT switches and faceplate.
While I wait for them to deliver, my question to you: have you pulled the "control center" panel in the cupboard at the front door during any of your mods?
Just curious, I'll still be going after it, but have you encountered any gotchas while digging into the panel?

CT,
Sorry I missed your post until now!!!
I haven't had the control panel apart yet, so can't give any insight as to what may be an unknown behind it.
My thought for the second pump switch (haven't gotten to it yet!) was to just use a momentary switch to kick the pump on. Maybe mounted on the side if the cabinet towards the outside entrance door.
I did finally order the digital thermostat!!! And got a chance to hook it up while on our last trip. Definitely something that should be standard.

Not really a trailer mod, but a camping mod. Built a rack to hang the pans and griddles from, just behind the Camp Chef stove. Used 1/2" black pipe from HD.
Anyone able to help as to why it's loading sideways??? Any way to correct it? Got it!!!
TY!

Looks great! Now you need to pro griddle that goes over both burners for your camp chef. And the pizza oven! I have both and do all my cooking on them.
BTW, my best skillet is a Griswold

Trying not to hijack, but Tom, where'd you get accessories for a camp chef?

I get all my camp chef stuff either from Amazon or outdoorcooking.com
I actually have a three burner, a two burner, 2 pizza ovens (I make homemade pizza all the time when camping), and pro griddles for both sizes.
Oh yeah, forgot to mention I have a grill box for each one as well [emoji3]
