19h mod..19H rear bumper storage box modification

Just puirchased the nuts/ bolts etc to mount a tool box on the rear bumper. The box is from Lowes, it cost $148 it is for a mini pickup. Very light duty but should do very well for the hose, camp rake& shovel, 25' 120v elec cord with a duplex outlet in a wp box,gas line for remote grill,etc etc.

Box is mounted, I used the "strut" to kinda box the bumper for rigidity( C channel would be the perefect choice but I had the strut on hand)). I did connect the bumper to the rear cross member to reduce the twisting since the box over hangs the bumper by 8-10 inchs. The box has to be 3" from the trailer and 1/2" from the gold trim pce for the cover to open and not rub on the gold trim. I did use a pce of the stick on pad on the box where it comes close to the gold trim. I used 10" x10" hardware store angle pcs mounted behind the bumper facing rearward over the bumper, mounted the box and off we go when the **** snow stops. I sent gunny" in progress" pics then the camara died maybe he can post.
