2008 jay flight 26bh mod question

hey everyone I was wondering if anyone has removed the partial wall that separates the bedroom from the kitchen/ living area. I'm thinking about removing the wall and couch to make some living room space and i want to make sure that wall isn't structural.

I removed the couch and the half-height section of wall behind it the first year I had my 26BH. There's nothing structural about it. I transferred the plastic trim that was on the vertical edge of the short wall to the exposed edge of the full height wall left after removing said short wall.

With the couch and wall out of the way, it didn't feel like I was running through a rat maze when walking through the TT.

I also built a cover of cabinet grade plywood to cover the exposed furnace, which is hidden under the couch.

SmokerBill, was the plastic trim just "stick on"? Do you think the entire wall could be removed?

I didn't remove the full height wall section because the cabinets are attached to it. Not sure if they are supported by the wall or not. And anyway, the full height wall is where the bedroom television is mounted.

And yes, the trim on mine was just stuck on- no nails or staples. I used a putty knife to gently pry it off, then a few dabs of caulk or silicone (don't remember exactly) to reattach the trim to the edge.
