2012 X213 Mods

I have a 2012 X213 and it has been a great trailer so far but there are a few things that I wanted to do.

The first is the set of arms to hold the cutting board from the stove.

2012 X213 Mods

One thing we really dislike about the X213 is the width. Since it has the rear slide it does not have a side slide and so, with 2 adults 2 children and 2 60 lb dogs, we are often shuffling or tripping over each other.

So in light of this, I decide to rip out the couch and replace with a bench that covers the utilities. The couch takes up a lot of floor space and is quite narrow.

I am still in the middle of this project but here is the progress. First I modeled it up in Solidworks just to make sure my ideas worked:

Then, i paid no attention to my Solidworks model and built it [emoji23]:

The next part, which I have not completed yet, is building a flip out section the same width as the bench top to convert it to a bed. To do this I am going to use 4 of the same arms as I used for the cutting board in the last post.

There will be two cushions that I am having made by a local seamstress. The one will sit on the bench top, the other will be velcro’d to the wall, and when the bench is converted to a bed, will move down to fill in.

This seems simple but it opened up a ton of floor space and really makes the space much nicer. My son could play on the floor and we won’t have to trip over each other to move around the trailer.

Third mod, TV delete. We boondock 95% of the time and literally the only time the TV has been turned on was in my driveway when I first bought the trailer.

All looking great.
I am at some point going to eliminate my out side kitchen. No awning over it, what's up with that? Fridge barely holds a six pack! Fridge is already gone.
Now I just working on a configuration that works for me.
Good luck a keep modding.

2012 X213 Mods

I installed a MaxxFann last week and we did our first trip since all of these mods happened. The MaxxFann definitely has some serious power. It will pull the bathroom door shut.

If you put on a vent cover you can run the fan when it’s raining outside. I really like what you did with the bench. Jay
