2016 32bhds outside storage

Before I had my jayco I had a rockwood 233s hybrid that had access to the storage under the dinning room bench from the outside. my question is has anyone ever had an outside storage cut in after the fact? the under dinning room bench has the same storage spot but no way to get to it from the outside. it would be the perfect place for hoses, jack pads, manual cranks, ect. it is just hard to get to when you have to pull up the dinning room cushion on the inside.

Have wondered this myself. Not sure why Jayco doesn't have an outside storage door for the middle dinette seat. Would be very convenient for such items as you mentioned.

Please keep us posted if you decide to go for it!

Dave, I really like your storage drawers. expecially the ones under the main bed. I don't think there is enough room in my 32bhds for drawers under the bed between the front wall of the bedroom and the bed. i will have to take a closer look next time I'm in the trailer.

I will keep everyone updated if I decide to have outside access cut in. I am going to take the camper in for some warrenty work and i will probably ask the dealer about it then

Yeah, I would think your idea is doable. You would just need to order a door for the outside. As long as there is nothing inside the wall where you want the door cut, it shouldn't be to hard to add one.

Good luck!

Dave,

I had seen your kid thread before and thought you did a great job! Not sure that is possible if the table isn't a free standing model for the middle bench of the u-shaped dinette.

Maybe BFuller was talking about the side benches also, but my first though was the middle bench that is a pain to get stuff in and out with the pedestal table in place.....

Well I ran it by the dealer when i was in for some warranty work and they had some concerns about voiding the warranty. They had never had anyone with my type of request. I guess I will wait for now atleast until the warranty is up.

Did you consider sending an email to Jayco to ask if it's possible?

Someone a few years back did a simular mod. Jayco will tell it you will void the warranty, if some damage could be traced back to your mod. With that said, call Jayco and ask for the wall diagram, so you can start making your plans.
