2017 x23b propane regulator visibility

on my 2017 X23b the (2) 20lb LP tanks are handled by an automatic changeover regulator that puts-up a red flag in a view window when the selected tank is empty. this lets you know that you are now running on tank number 2 and that tank selected is empty.(great Idea in theory). Jayco has installed the automatic changeover regulator facing the battery box and has made it impossible to see / read the flag rendering it useless.
The fix sounds easy enough, turn the ACR to facing the front of the TT so you can see / view the red flag when needed. However, you will need to add a 12 inch extension to the main TT feed propane line coming off the ACR as the current line is not long enough to allow the forward facing position. (simple fix again, Trailer store made up a 12 inch line extension for 15$). So after that was done, I put the cover back over the (2) tanks. (Everybody reading this probably already saw this coming.) can't see the ARC through the cover no matter which way it's facing.
My solution was to cut a hole in the cover and epoxy a 5/32" piece of plexiglass to the backside of the cover and create a view window.

Nice work. I have a manual valve switch for my two 20 pounders. I was told by the dealer that they didn't like the auto switch because I may not look for the red flag indicator soon enough and find myself out of gas when tank #2 empties. Some here have said that BUT I still may end up owning one because I like the idea. Looks good (and I'll know now that I may need more gas line when the time comes). Thanks for sharing!

I have a little mirror on a telescoping rod from Harbor Freight that I use to check the indicator window. I just flip the tank cover open and stick the mirror in and take a look.
