23B front storage

As you can see from the photos, there was about a 6" gap between the "wall" and the drawer...seemed like a LOT of underutilized space. I demo'd the wall, made 2 face frame style supports for each side of the drawer opening using the Kreg pocket hole joinery system. I crafted a new center support member and installed a 2x4 across the front of the seat opening to replace the cheap stapled on plywood bench support. I made a shield for the wiring harness using a toilet flange and a piece of 4" PVC that I slotted lengthwise.

I gained 3.63 cubic feet of space with this mod.

Check out my 'Found some more storage space' post, only I removed the divider completely. Unless you pack your stuff in the storage space with a hydraulic ram, I see no need to cover the back of the receptacle as it is completely finger safe as installed.
