361 REQS Mods & TV Mods

Thought I would post some pictures of various mods we've made to our 361 REQS trailer and tow vehicle.

Pictures tell 1000 words

Hope you find them interesting and maybe peak some ideas.
Thanks for viewing.

Hitch Cover

Cover for our PullRite SuperGlide Hitch.
Wife made this. ~$20 of fabric from Jo-Ann Fabrics.
Better then the $200 PullRite wanted for their cover.

Storage Shelf

I made these shelves in the storage area.
I put the Weber Grill goes on the floor, the middle shelf is for a table and the top is holds the Weber Grill stand.

Included pictures empty and full.

The one picture also shows the 3 drawer crate that is used to help organize stuff.

Put our 2 lounge chairs between the crate and shelf.

Low Point Drain Valves & Water Filter Access

The panels to access the low point drain valves and water filter were screwed into the wall. To make access easier I replaced the screws with wing nuts.

I some point I need to paint the wood spacers to match the wall color.

I definitely makes accessing stuff behind the wall a lot easier.

Screen Door Storm Cover

Made screen door covers out of plexiglass.
Had the Plexiglass cut at a local hardware store.
Add wood along the sides as spacers to hold in place with clips.

Storage Organization

I use labeled crates to help organize stuff in the front and pass through storage areas.

Storage Wall Hooks

Also use various size wall hooks in the pass through storage to help organize extension cords, etc.

Front Diamond Plate

I've posted this before on the forum, but thought I would include a couple pictures here again.
Added diamond plate to the front to help protect from stone chips.

Sensor Pro

Also previously posted this on the forum.
Again thought I would include a couple of pictures here.

This really helps identify when you have the antena positioned for strongest digital signals prior to programming the channels of the TV.

I mounted it in the cabinet next to the radio.

TV Vehicle Rock Guard

Added an rock guard attached via the hitch receiver to provide additional protection from stones hitting the front of the trailer.

Used angle iron to attach the rock guard to and mounting onto a standard ball shank.

The corner cut-out is to ensure there's no interference with the truck's exhaust.

I would really like to make one of those rock guards to go on the hitch, like the way yours came out

Ceiling Insulation in Pass Through Storage

When camping in colder weather, every time the pass through storage door was opened, it crated a breeze into the camper through the step vents.

This seemed to be primarily do to the gap between the pass through storage wall and ceiling/floor joists. Putting insulation between the joists solved that.

Used rigid insulation board I picked up at HD, two different widths to equal joists size, 2" & 1/2" then used foil insulating tape to seal and secure the insulation boards in place.
Also used the foil insulating tape to seal any remaining gap between wall and ceiling insulation.
