4 inch lift

Just finished the 4" lift on my 2001 Kiwi 17. Hooked up the new WDH and towed it 90 miles back home. Man! what a difference. And when I backed it into the driveway it didn't scrape! Now the dump valve is at a reasonable height off the ground as well.

Was going to do a 6" lift but discovered that was way too much. Luckily my buddy that helped me had enough material around to change the height lift to only 4" which seems about perfect.

I did an axle flip on my 2015 Jay Flight 26BH. I gained 5.5 inches. It was perfect.

Jayco skylark lift

I'm a newbee to the world of TT - been an off road tent camper for long time. Just bought a 2011 Skylark. Like it a lot but it's a bit close to the ground. Anyone know of anyone that's lifted one? Maybe flip the axel/shackel or a block lift kit?
THANKS

Jerdog- thanks. Looks simple enough. Did you upgrade to 15" wheels too? That would seem a logical follow on.

I'm either going to go with 14" or 15's but I want to wear out the 13" tires first.
Just put new wheels on it a few months ago.

I just bought a 2011 Skylark FSB and asked about a lift kit for the torque axel and they said Jayco approves the kit but they could not install right now

so my question is how does it perform over time?

If it is like the lift I have seen for the 19h basically it extends the brackets. Mine (home made) has been on for about 5 years now and I climb under it to check it a few times a year and everything looks good. I am sure the Jayco version is built even better than what I have and will outlast the trailer.

Had our RV dealer put a lift kit on our 2013 145RB last spring. Raised it 4". Tows well and no more concerns about scraping our B/G/W pipe. Cost for kit and install from dealer was $220 CDN. Best mod yet.

Indeed. Local welding shop used a bit of 1/2” flat steel to raise the body off the axel. Three years in and it’s great. Going into FS camp grounds it’s comforting to know nothing is dragging

Thanks! See kits for less than 3" but definitely need at least 4". Did they "shim" the 1/2"
in addition to adding the lift kit?

My dealer recommended this shop. They had done others. Fab’d on site - no kit. So not sure of the details of bits they used.

I asked the question last spring decided to wait . . .
I have been FT for 5 months now and I scrape all the time mostly at gas stations
my hitch bar extends down lower than the dump pipes, my safety bars at the back have scraped less but show the wear. I am going to look into it again.
