Somebody enlighten me about this aftermarket tuning of the Ford V10

If it makes more power it burns more fuel.. it could also affect your emissions..

Can't speak to the V10 but my 7.3 was like a new engine had been installed. No mods except the tuner, synthetic oil and clean filters, I'm set to the lowest "tow" program advertised +80 hp. Millage has stayed about the same but I have noticeably more pulling power, less downshifting on cruse and NO black smoke on acceleration.

We have the superchips tow tune in our Excursion with a K&N air filter and the exhaust Y- pipe and it really perked the Excursion up. A friend has the 5- Star tune and he tows a 15000 5th wheel and he loves it. The only problem he told me about is that he is getting a free flow air filter and the Y-pipe also and he has to get Mike to update his tune.
