Ac Thermostat

Forgive me if I missed, been searching for a while. Anyone figured out how to install a thermostat to prevent Coleman AC from running non stop? 264bhw is the model.
Thanks as always for the pointers.

Your post doesn't say what RV you have so difficult to help. You could have a defective Tstat or you could have the fan switch on "ON" instead of auto. Another possibility that you are trying to cool beyond the capacity of the ac unit, Pop ups in the sun are difficult to cool for obvious reasons.

Need more info.

Referring to the unit with ceiling controls. Fan runs nonstop regardless of compressor running. That's how those particular units are designed.

One option is a kit like this: https://www.amazon.com/AUTOFAN-Kit-C.../dp/B00E5MOCZI

This allows you to have the fan cycle on and off.

The other option is to install a wall thermostat, BUT, this requires quite a bit more thought and wiring.

All depends on what you're after.

This is great, I am very interested in getting one of these for my A/C unit. It looks like they have two models though (one for a unit with heat strips and on without). Do you know which one we need for the 264bhw?

Does yours have the option of supplying heat?
Then you need the one with the heat strips.
If yours only cools, then you don't.
Look at the controls. If there is no option for heat, that answers it for you.
