Ac unit vent

The roof air in our 22bhm leaves so much to be desired, but the biggest issue next to noise has been the main vent blowing directly into the bunks. So, after a lot of thought I decided to modify an 8x8 residential register box to fit under the dometic cover and then add a directional vent. As I have it now the air is sealed from any of the original vents in the ac cover, but if it doesnt work out during the summer I may change it up again. Hopefully, it works out. Either way the bunks will be getting their own fans shortly.

It was fairly straightforward I added foam to the ac outlet to help it flow down into the register better, as well as insulating it more. Then cut the register box down to about 2" tall screwed it on the metal frame of the ac and then cut the opening out of the cover and put it all in.Click image for larger version
