Added a center console to the theater seating
My Jayco Pinnacle came with theater seating but is just the two seats. Some models had a center console which added 8 inches to the sofa. My wife and I found that when sitting on the sofa we kept bumping in to each other. She wanted to replace the sofa or get the center console to give us some elbow room. We looked everywhere and found plenty of consoles, but not in the fabric color of the sofa. Lippert had the console, but wanted over $400 dollars for it which is a bit much. So I built my own console with a couple of upgrades. I had room to fit a 10” console between the theater seats. But by trimming out a two inch section, it gives the wife more hip room so she can be happy. We make a two inch cushion insert to fill the slot so it looks finished and helps support the seat. And by hooking the piece together, this now one unit. I added a reading lamp outlet with use ports for charging. Color was a concern, and we where going to stain it the same wood color as the decor. But we finally went with black to match the rugs we put in. Anthony
