Added gels to LED lights

Had to wait for some paint to dry on battery box mod so in the downtime I found another project. Not sure where I saw this mentioned or I'd give credit where it's due. I didn't like the harsh blueish/white led lighting in the trailer. I prefer the warmer light of a normal bulb, so now I have the best of both worlds. I purchased color correcting gel sheets that are used In Photography and video lighting. I opted for a sheet of CTO (Color Temerature Orange) and went with the lightest film which is 1/4 stop correcting. I figured if I needed more correction I could stack layers. I ended up with a 24"x21" sheet for around $6.00 and have enough left to do another trailer at least.
I first popped out a lens cover and traced it so I could cut a gel to fit. Once it was perfect I proceed to trace the good gel until I had enough for all the lights. The only issue I had was trying to get a hole in the center of the gel for the lights that had center buttons. Finally I ended up using a soldering iron and lined the whole stack up, and melted a hole through all 10 at once and it's perfect.

And here is the after. It may not show up well, but it's a nice warm glow in the trailer now and not like a surgical room.
I might actually double stack the bedroom lights to make them "warmer"
Cool thing is that you can buy gels in any color so you could set any color mood you wanted by switching out gels anytime you wanted. I thought about getting some reds for the bathroom. Light so it wasn't so blinding in the middle of the night (reds don't hurt your night vision).

Screwby, you're my savior. I'm going to get after this exact same mod ASAP, especially now that I can see what a difference it makes. Can you provide and info on where/how you bought the gels? Many thanks in advance!

Lee Filters 1/4 CTO 24x21" Gel Filter Sheet https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FXHVP6S..._l1.ExbQAT3QCK
This is what I bought, if it wasn't most likely more expensive to ship the leftover to you than to order your own I'd do it. Let me know what you come up with. You'll love the difference, it just feels more cozy and calm in there.

The camera likely corrected a lot of the color you see but nice writeup and sounds like a good idea to tone down the stock LED's.

Maybe I'll do red or blue in the bedroom.
