I finally got the pictures from the sky lights. Sorry it took me so long, the campground Wi-Fi was so slow I could not post pictures. The floor picture is with the shade pulled back on the kitchen sky light. I would say about a 15-20% light reduction and a 90-95% heat reduction. Jay

2 more quick mods. First, although I haven’t had any problems with theft, I decided to make my propane tanks a little harder to steal. I know that nothing will stop a determined thief, I can at least slow them down.
Second, I put a small knob on the outside of the screen door. I got the idea from this forum. More mods coming. Jay

Hi. Have u run into any problems with the plug with usb in the bedroom? Ours stopped working. My DHS looked for a fuse but can’t seem to find the problem. Ty

So far no problems with the usb 12 volt powered USB plug on “her side” of the bed. I even bought a nice plug in voltmeter and thermometer from Amazon for about 12 bucks. I would check for power at the 12 volt socket. If you have power there, chances are that the USB Charger is dead. Does your station look like this?

Yes it does. Neither usb or reg plug works. Y the voltmeter? I’m not sure what that does? Ty

Jay (or RusticEagle): does either of you carry a backup water pump? I had a friend strongly recommend that to me, but it seems like overkill? If yes, what did you purchase?

On a side note, I installed the accumulator system that Bob installed (https://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f...tml#post597069), and it makes an incredible difference in noise.

Hi again!

Have you sealed the sink along that seam that missy showed failed on hers? I'm wanting to but looking for suggestions for a clear sealant that would not look trashy. Also planning to seal the other edges (against wall).

And another question: we had to head to the dealer to get an LP line repaired under the unit. I'm guessing all the Jay Flights use the same lines and connectors, but do you carry any backups of these for longer trips? In other words, do you know of the dimensions we have? Or maybe you can advise me that backing up these lines is overkill

If an exact match is not a priority, I would go with corian or another type of solid surface with no wood. Another cool possibility would be a counter top with the sink molded in, not having a separate sink. Sorry I didn’t respond sooner. Jay

jhaan,

Nope, leaving well enough alone for now with the bath sink

I don't carry a spare water pump or LP replacement hardware (lines, valve, etc.). Never had any failures on these components with any of my TT's.

No, I don’t carry a spare water pump either. Missey 365 try to check the fuses if you haven’t already. It could be as simple as that to fix your power port.
Next Mod: A porch light. For some reason a lot of newer campers don’t have the traditional yellow porch light, forcing you to use the “too bright” LED strip at the awning. So I put one in. For now I just ran. 12 volts to the light because I bought one with its own switch. As soon as I can find a matching 2 switch black panel to go inside the camper, I will wire up the step light to the porch light and hav the switch inside. Anyone know where I can get a black 2 switch panel? I also fixed the very poor ground connection behind the main switch panel. Jay

Sorry I posted the same picture twice! Here is the one I meant to post. See also the very poor connection to the slide switch. I redid all those too. Jay

Here is a major mod I forgot to tell about. “The Rack”. It started out life as a Harbor Freight hitch haul with a pivoting center square bar that goes into the hitch of the truck or suv to carry extra stuff. Bought some 2inch square tubing 1/8” thick. Bent some flat steel into “C” channel. Bolted one end of the C channel to the factory frame tabs used for a bolt on hitch. Welded the square tubing to the other end of the C channel, then welded the factory piviot at one end and duplicated the pivot at the other end. The result is a folding rear rack used for extra stuff like a generator or firewood or my mini bike. I know it will do much more, but I limit the weight to 120 pounds at most. None of this even touches the rear bumper, so no worries there. Looking back we could have welded the rack even with the tubing or on top of it, but so far in 1,500 plus miles I’ve had no ground clearance problems and it is easy to load the generator. Jay

Thank you for the nice rack comments. Here is another pretty quick mod. I got matching 30inch heavy duty stabilizing jacks like I put on the back earlier. This time I angled them the opposite way from the back ones. These are way better than the ones that came with the camper. Jay
