Another Small Mod
I added two shelves to this cabinet that my sons share. They never used the entire hanging rod so now they can hang clothes and fold other clothes. I made the shelves in a way that works around the rod and comes out easily if needed. the shelves ar about twelve inches tall and about 23 inches deep. I contoured the upright piece of wood to match the curve in the back of the cabinet.

We have some pretty good craftsmen that are JOF members. That looks like it came from the manufacturer. Good work, bed685.

Excellent Job & a great creation of useful space. There doesn't seem to be enough small spaces for the socks and undergarments.

Looks good. What kind of board did you use? It looks like it has the same finish as the factory cabinet. Did you just use some shelfving board from Home Depot and found a close match? Thanks for sharing. Small mods can make a big difference.
Best regards,
Doug

The modification I did, instead, was a "cat hole" to the storage area under main bed. That is where we will now put the litter box, rather than in the bathtub. Pictures soon. It took me all afternoon and it was fun.
