Anyone have this or other camp chef to measure?

https://www.cabelas.com/product/Camp...ve/1587353.uts

I want to do a mod for my outdoor kitchen and install this instead of the capital grille.

Could someone measure the depth of the burner assembly? I want to see if it fits in the existing shelf.

I bet the depth would be the same as in any camp chef stove. So if you have any of them it should work.

I just bought a Lodge griddle that (should) take up most of the burner space - I plan on using my capital grill as a big griddle.

Thank you sir. I have not measured the grill shelf but I think this would be to deep.

Lodge Griddle

I bought a different Lodge griddle and while it works ok, I feel like it is not optimum and need to set the grill pretty high.

Let me know how yours works when you try it.

I’m going out in 2 weeks or so. I’m interested to see how it works out. If it doesn’t I’m going to be salty as the grill than becomes totally useless to me.

I am sure it will work, I have used it to make bacon outside. Just seems to take a long time even on high.

My idea to make it a stove is so I can use it for other things also, like boiling or steaming veggies.

I didn’t use it as I was just swinging by where I store the camper, but the Lodge I linked to earlier fits almost perfectly. FWIW

Thanks for remembering and posting.
We did use ours for bacon and I made eggs. Worked fine except for a big hotspot in the middle and cooler spots on the side.

May finally go out next weekend for the first time this season.

Just waiting for the quick connect adapter that is supposed to be here next week. Then it is ready to rock or cook.
