ARP Fridge Denfend

So yesterday I installed the ARP Fridge Defend 4.1 system. I got a little spooked after seeing a Escapees account of a RV burned to the ground by an overheated fridge boiler. Not a hard install if you are handy with wiring and a couple of tools. Made sure to wear mechanics gloves as I have been cut by sheet metal before. Hardest part was finding the locking tab for the boiler door to gain access the the boiler tube to attach the temp sensor, the rest was basic 12v wiring and no problem. The computerized main unit has a digital readout for fan & boiler temp, as well as 3 operational modes to accommodate 99% of the models on the market. The company provides a ton of information on the operation and installation. A built in test mode checks all wiring and sensors to insure proper operation and mine passed 1st check. A properly adjusted and operating builer will run between 170ºc - 190ºc, mine split the difference at 180)c so right on the money. I feel better now knowing that we are protected from a malfunction and possible fridge fire. For more info check them out HERE
