Back-up lights nighttime setup lights

Had some spare LED strip lights so added them under the 4 corners of the trailer by the stabilizer jacks. Wired them into the light on the power jack at the front so if you turn on that light you get the lights under the trailer. Better yet, also wired into the trucks back-up light circuit (center pin on my 7 pin plug) so when I am backing in the lights show me stuff around the trailer. Note that trailer 12V which powers the power jack circuit is isolated from the trucks 12V backup light circuit via some diodes.

Great idea!

Consider it stolen.

Although I never got the hang of DDL. I'll just have to live with the added load of relays.

Here is some plans details for the lights. I got the diodes for isolating the circuits from digikey (Electronic Components Distributor | DigiKey Electronics | Canada Home Page - search for RM 4Z-ND) - but any diode >20V and 2A is probably OK. I just find a local electronics supply and ask for a suitable diode (too bad Radio Shack isn't around anymore as they would have suitable stuff)
