Bathroom fan switch extender

My wife who is 5’ nothing was unable to turn the bathroom fan on/off without the use of a step stool, well after 15 minutes in the hardware store, and 15 minutes of Yankee ingenuity, the step stool is retired.

Many of us have a 2way fan switch by the sink that turns the fan on/off. You don’t indicate what model TT you have.

We have a 212QB. The original fan was a single speed and useless. Decided to upgrade to a Fantastic fan w/o all the bells and whistles (hence no remote switch). The Fantastic fan which is “fantastic” has 3 speeds on a rotary switch, but it was a challenge to use for the vertically challenged.

Great idea! I’ll be working on that this winter.

Is yours the 'pull first' type? I'm 5'4" and have to stand on the toilet .... ugh. But on ours the knob has to be pulled down first, before it releases to be turned.

Along the same lines, I created this few years back for the bathroom vent in our previous rig so my 5’ tall wife could reach it. In our case, the fan was controlled by a wall switch controlled by our multiplex system, but the vent was a manual open.

Anyone who has access to a 3D printer (e.g., some libraries have them) can find the file and information about the telescoping stick here.

I'm lucky. She's tall. I just replaced the switch.
