Bathroom sink replacement 2013 Melbourne 29D

We love our Melbourne 29D. The one thing I didn't like was the always dirty looking stainless steel bathroom sink. Must have cleaned that thing a dozen times a day. So today I replaced it with a bone colored sink that looks fabulous! Got it online for about $32. It probably took 1 hour to do the replacement. Here are pics of the finished replacement. No pics of the before, but if you have a Melbourne you know what I am talking about.Click image for larger version

Geat job on the sink. I want to do something similar. We have the plastic sink in ours and I am not a big fan of it for the same reason. The faucet is so close to the
edge of the sink it's hard to wash your hands under it. I think this is one place that
Jayco should upgrade. Thousands spent on everything else but than they cheap
out on the faucet and sink. Just doesn't make sense to me.

Jayco bathroom sink and towel bar replacement

I agree that Jayco comes up short on bathroom sink and faucet. There is room for a bigger sink and a better faucet, preferably a faucet in the sink surround. I may try that replacement next year, now that I have my first 'Jayco Upgrade' badge!

While I'm at it, how about a real towel bar instead of the totally inadequate hooks for towels. Our towels constantly fell onto the toilet while traveling down the road. I replaced the hooks with a long bar that holds two towels, folded in half. Towels never fall off!

We had the same problem with the junky towel hooks. Went to Lowes and got two towel rings and replaced them. I used same holes for the one closest to the outside wall and left the other hook in place, then I measured equal distance toward the hallway and installed the other ring making new screw holes.

Replaced ours in our 2014 Whitehawk 30DSQB almost immediately because of difficulty washing hands in sink....while replacing sink I went ahead and did the tub so we would have matching sets....ordered from DuraFaucets...about $40 per set....http://www.durafaucet.com/

Wow! This will be my next upgrade. I really dislike the shower controls. I will learn more about plumbing! Oh boy!
