Battery disconnect pics
I am curious if anyone has any pics of where they mounted their battery disconnect switches. I have only one battery and just the single battery box. I have not started looking for a switch yet, but I will be soon.

I'd also like to see how you hookup a disconnect switch for dual batteries in 2 battery boxes. Pics would really be helpful. Thanks.
RV there yet?

I just pull the fuse from the holder alongside the battery box and put it in the forward compartment. It's a 30A ATO type in a "waterproof" holder, so is easy to remove and replace. I thought about the disconnect switch route (I have two golf cart 6 volts in series) but since I am only drawing power through the 30A fuse, I decided not to go to the trouble and expense. Nothing technical about it, just personal preference.

How are you connectiong the 2 batteries?
Sorry,
I thought you were switching 2 batteries.
Get a quality switch, as some of the cheaper ones do not last long.

I used a 300A switch from West Marine. I can switch between either battery as well as both and off.

I put a BD switch and screwed it to wall of my battery box. I'll try to remember to take a picture of it and show it to you. The coach I had before my Pinnacle had one and I loved it, so when I got the new coach, that was one of the first things I did.

Bought the disconnect switch from Advanced Auto for $13...cut a hole in top of battery box for mounting with screws....spliced into my positive side...I know there's pros and cons on which to use....positive??? or negative????...used positive because I don't like the idea of it still being connected if you shut off on the negative side when you could accidentally ground the system by mistake when working on 12V system

I put mine in the camper, anytime I can keep an electrical item out of the weather, it has to be better for it. I installed a dual battery switch, both of my batteries are connected to postion 1, postition two is for a additional 3rd battery or solar panel that I can simply plug in to a connector outside the trailer. The switch is flush mounted in the paneling.

Boating supplies have very nice battery switches, as others have posted here. They are a great 4 setting design for a 2 battery setup; providing complete off, both batteries on, or either battery on. I mounted mine in the battery storage alcove.
