Been busy working on Camper

We went out for the first trip of the year with our new X23b, love trying out new mods and seeing how they work out.
Did dinette end storage similar to Jagiven, wife loves it for linen us to have opening in end with old 2000 23b know we would need it again.
Put awning over slide-out much easier than cleaning pine needles every trip.
Started tweaking bunk end covers and almost have them worked out, will probably need a couple more trips to work them out.

I like the bunk end covers. Could you share more details and photos?

Yes mcfarmall,
I had a set made when I had a pop-up about 8 years ago and modified that set for my 2000 23b, because of the bunk size and door frame change I needed to have a new set made. I was hoping that I could put a rope in the trailer end and run it around the drip edge but that idea was not workable, next I added velcro to the underside of the drip edge and top of canvas but the velcro would not stick across the top and I was afraid it would not hold in wind. I have used velcro on the bottom edge of the canvas, flipped it up to the drip edge and used clips to secure along the top which was successful. On our old hybrid I had room to run velcro across under the drip edge and place snaps so the canvas was secure by two means. To do the sides and ends I had sleeves sewn into the canvas so pole rods could be inserted to hold the canvas out form the sides and end. In the past we have been able to use these to protect the current bunk-end from pine pitch and such as we almost always camp in the woods. They have also allowed us to open window in rains and we would close the ends under them to keep from getting wet. I am not planning to set up again until the holiday, attached are older uses I had for covers and how they were used. EricClick image for larger version

Those bunk-end covers are NICE. The overhang is super clever. I also agree with your first post that several more outings are needed.
Thanks for posting.

Where did you get the awning on the slide out?? That seems to be a really good idea.
