Bottom Bunk Crib/ladder

Our 25bhs didn't come with a bunk ladder, and the 5 year old is getting too heavy to lift up there. We also have a 1 yr old who tends to try to get out of bed as soon as you lay him down. So I combined a cage.. Er crib.. And ladder together. Later on I can remove the gate and the ladder will still be good. Was easy to mount this way and won't leave too much damage after the kids are old enough to climb up and down without it.

Pretty simple, but I thought I'd post it because it's hard to find good examples on the Interweb.

I think there is 2 3/8" max rail spacing requirement for baby cribs. I guess children were getting their heads trapped in railings. The ladder looks quite wide. That would be a concern I would have.

Lol, that is awesome! Have to say if border patrol wanted to look in your RV, they might look surprised until you explain it. Seriously though, great idea, asthetically pleasing and easy to remove when the kids get older.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking that! Lol in all seriousness, make sure that opens lickity split in case of fire. That would be a huge concern of mine. Fine motor skills being non existent as you panicked during an RV fire and that little latch. I've seen how fast an RV can burn down and it haunts my dreams.
